EZ Glide 350™ is available in a variety of panel styles, thicknesses and is designed for outdoor and indoor use.         Can I use EZ Glide 350™ in temperatures above and below freezing?   EZ Glide 350™ is manufactured from special polymers, therefore its surface can be enjoyed year-round and in all temperatures. Developed for indoor and outdoor use, EZ Glide 350™ panels are sturdy, UV stable and stress relieved. They will not degrade in sunlight or warp as temperatures increase or decrease.         Do you have ice skates available for rental and purchase?   Yes. We have a variety of styles and price ranges to suit the recreational skater as well as competitive and professional hockey and figure skaters.         Does EZ Glide 350™ skate like refrigerated ice?   EZ Glide 350™ is such a close alternative to ice that training centers for both hockey and figure skating have and are currently being built, using the 350™ product exclusively, to enhance the skaters' performance and skills on refrigerated ice. There is no skill performed on ice that cannot be performed on EZ Glide 350™. The use of EZ Glide 350™ results in more readily available "ice" time, and inexpensive operating costs. Many public skating facilities are using EZ Glide 350™ because of the safety and security factor felt by young children, elderly and inexperienced skaters. A beginner is far less likely to have a serious fall on EZ Glide 350™. Any skill performed on refrigerated ice, in the context of adagio/pairs and ice dancing, can be performed on EZ Glide 350™.         Does EZ Glide 350™ use a glide enhancer?   Our company developed the EZ Glide Enhancer in 1969. EZ Glide Enhancer will out-perform any other enhancer on the market. The EZ Glide Enhancer is shipped with every EZ Glide 350™ floor rental and purchase. Although you can skate without the use of the enhancer on EZ Glide 350™, its use is recommended and will increase the glide performance. Misting the floor is only necessary occasionally and on an as needed basis. When applied correctly, it leaves a very light film on the skating surface.         What is the EZ Glide Enhancer made of?   EZ Glide Enhancer is a specially formulated proprietary material. We do not use silicone in our glide enhancer! It is an environmentally friendly product which is safe, non-toxic and EPA approved. It is comprised of 50% water in its usable form. It is totally water soluble and non-staining, even in its concentrated form.         Should I apply the EZ Glide Enhancer directly to my blades?   You may apply the EZ Glide Enhancer directly to your blades; however, due to normal friction and heat, any such effort to improve glide is short-lived because the enhancer will wear off the blades almost immediately.         How much does it cost to maintain EZ Glide 350™?   EZ Glide 350™ is almost maintenance free. Keep the floor clean and apply our EZ Glide Enhancer as needed - that's it!         Where can I install EZ Glide 350™?   EZ Glide 350™ can be installed on any flat, level and firm surface capable of supporting the weight of the panels and skaters. Hard surfaces like basement floors, garage floors or tennis courts are typical installation sites. Panels can also be installed on hardwood floors or asphalt parking lots.         Does sunlight, rain, sleet or snow affect EZ Glide 350™?   No.         What is the lifespan of EZ Glide 350™?   The lifespan of EZ Glide 350™ is indefinite, under normal and expected use. EZ Glide 350™ panels are constructed of a solid polymer mixture throughout their entire thickness. The panels are reversible to allow skating on both sides. As EZ Glide 350™ becomes scratched from normal skating use, skating speed increases. The surface performs better the more you use it! Expect many years of great skating per side.         Which panel style has the longest life expectancy?   The DoveTail style panel.         Do the dovetails break off?   No. The dovetails will not break, bend, curl or chip under any normal use conditions in any weather or temperature. To date Ice Rink Engineering has never had one of its EZ Glide 350™ DoveTail floors break either at the dovetail or otherwise.         What panel style is recommended for outdoor use?   We only recommend the use of our DoveTail style panel for outdoor use.         Which panel material provides the best skating surface?   Our company offers three different synthetic products, one being EZ Glide 350™. EZ Glide 350™ in the DoveTail style is the product training centers and entertainment companies, including Disney On Ice, use for their projects. It is also, by far, the preferred product of the general public, commercial skating facilities and individuals who purchase for private use. We are constantly researching the performance of our products through our customers. Feedback from our customers and repeat clients has been outstanding. It is a remarkably safe product for general public, yet it allows a figure skater to perform the same jumps, spins and footwork as they would on refrigerated ice. Hockey skaters are the fastest growing market for EZ Glide 350™. Many hockey training centers throughout the world have installed EZ Glide 350™ and report unmatched success in the performance of all aspects of hockey training.         Which panel style is best for my project?   Square Edge: These panels are the least expensive. They do not interlock with other panels and must be glued or attached to the subfloor using appropriate materials. Square Edge panels must be used indoors where the temperature does not vary. The subfloor has to be perfectly level. They are not recommended for serious skating and can offer some significant problems when conditions are not exact. Square Edge panels are often used for building down-hill ramps in theatrical ice shows as a means of entering skaters onto the stage. Spline Interlocking: Spline panels have been around for many years. They are offered by several suppliers. Though they are applicable for some projects, they are for the most part, outdated and not very popular for use in today's skating world. Spline panels are still used in some indoor projects where variances in temperature are small and where use is light. Spline panels should never be used outdoors or in any area where you expect swings in temperature or sunlight. DoveTail: This is the newest and most modern synthetic panel available. It is the most popular in all areas of the sport. DoveTail panels will not break, chip, warp or bend under normal and expected use. They do not wear out even in constant installation / removal / travel situations, which is why all traveling synthetic ice show productions use them. The installation time for a DoveTail floor is a small fraction of the time irequired to install a Spline or Square Edge floor. The DoveTail panel is a much stronger panel in every respect. Expansion and contraction has no negative effect on DoveTail panels, and therefore, is the only panel recommended for outdoor use. A DoveTail panel can be installed in less than 1 minute.         How is EZ Glide 350™ shipped?   EZ Glide 350™ is carefully loaded on pallets and shipped using common freight carriers. Shipping should not be a major consideration. By comparison, freight rates are low for these products.         Does EZ Glide 350™ come in different colors?   Yes.
