Our company originated "EZ Glide Enhancer" in 1969 and when it is applied correctly, it leaves a very light film on the EZGlide skating surface. Our "EZ Glide Enhancer" will out perform any other enhancer and especially any enhancer using silicone. We use no silicone in our products! You may apply our "EZ Glide Enhancer" directly to your skate blade if you wish. However, due to normal friction and heat, any such effort to improve glide is short-lived because common sense would tell you that the enhancer would wear off the blade almost immediately. When our "EZ Glide Enhancer" is applied correctly, it is not greasy, it is totally water soluble, it will not stain clothing even in a concentrated form and it is environmentally safe and EPA approved.
